Hector joins Prohibition Partners from PP’s newly opened São Paulo office, where he has been researching the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) cannabis and hemp industries since June 2020. He graduated from International Affairs in Venezuela, and lived in Portugal and Spain, where he researched the LATAM startup and PEVC market.
Besides covering the LAC region at PP he is working as an instructor for the educational project Global Citizen Academy, while studying a Sustainability and Environmental master degree at Brazilian think-tank FVG.
Nilton Aquino is a pharmacist with specialization in pharmaceuticals and medications, an MBA in industrial management, a master’s and a doctorate in medical pathophysiology, in the area of developing new drugs for obesity and diabetes.
He served as technical manager, quality manager and research and development in pharmaceutical multinationals. In 2010 he founded ANS Pharma, a company specializing in advising and consulting in the areas of pharmaceutical technology and healthcare products (B2B).
In 2019 he founded QuantiFarma, focusing on pharmaceutical retail (B2C). He has experience in cutting-edge pharmaceutical research, including clinical and preclinical tests, physical-chemical tests and regulatory aspects necessary for the registration of new products in the world, including products in the field of medical cannabis.
